2022-08-11

Learning is an intellectual effort, but also a physical one. Ergonomics comes to the rescue—a discipline concerned with adapting working conditions to human anatomical and psychophysical capabilities.

Children's chairs hold a special place in the field of industrial design. As civilization has advanced, innovations that significantly improve the quality of life have become widespread—these include carefully designed, top-quality high chairs and ergonomic office chairs that support children's healthy development.

In our product lineup, we would like to draw your attention in particular to the category of children's chairs. We've selected two special models that are the epitome of the perfect chair.

Peter Opsvik—the man to whom children owe their healthy spines

One Norwegian industrial designer revolutionized the approach to designing children's chairs and drew the attention of parents around the world to the importance of taking care of a child's spine, essentially from the moment of birth.

Since 1959 He sought out the best solutions to support the human body in conditions that are unnatural for it—such as sitting for many hours at a time.

As an engineer and ergonomics enthusiast, but also as a father, he designed and built his first high chair for his son. Today, his two legendary projects are available to you.

Stokke® Tripp Trapp®

A pioneering design, the first ergonomic high chair for children in continuous production since 1972. Perfect in its simplicity.

Made from certified European solid beech, oak, or ash wood. With accessories that your little one can use right from birth, and later as a high chair. Designed to support a weight of about 140 kg, it’s not just a desk chair for a child, but a chair for a lifetime—literally.

Unique, individual adjustment of the seat and footrest components, both in terms of height and depth. That is what makes this chair unique.

Another major advantage is the option to take advantage of the extended 7-year warranty.

This is a great option for parents looking for world-renowned design classics. The high chair was listed as No. 88 on Fortune magazine's list of the 100 most important designs in the history of industrial design.

Stokke® Nomi™

Peter Opsvik's Second Project. Unique shapes, with playful forms and textures. It's sure to appeal to parents looking for something truly original.

The central spindle in the bentwood frame serves as an axis along which the height of the seat and footrest is adjusted using clamping knobs, thereby perfectly adapting to the body.

As a desk chair, it offers maximum ergonomics and seating comfort that is clearly noticeable to the child. The lightweight design, mounted on four wheels, ensures mobility and responds to the child's movements.

A unique feature of the chairs Stokke Tripp Trapp and Nomi There are developmental stages that gradually progress from childhood through adolescence to adulthood. The frame is made of solid wood and the highest-quality plastic ensures the furniture’s longevity, durability, and stability for many years to come.
