The most useful accessories for walking with a baby

The most useful accessories for walking with a baby

There are two types of walks with a baby. The first is to go for a walk to relax, get some fresh air, get out of the house, put on makeup and boost the toddler's immunity.

The second is a walk entitled. "My baby only sleeps when I go for a walk" and it is mainly aimed at getting the baby to take a nap. Today I will introduce you to the most useful walking accessories of the former type. The accessories needed for walk number two are basically the same plus a few drops of Valium (or a whole bottle if needed).

First - the bag

Once we've got the essential components of a stroll covered (mom, baby and pram - pram is a river topic, but about that another time), we still have to fit diapers, changing mat, pacifiers, bottles, tetanus diapers, change clothes and all those things we didn't know existed in the pre-baby era somewhere.

In my opinion, one of the best nursing bag offerings has Stokke - Stokke Changing Bag 2-in-1. It has a big plus with me for the fact that the bag can also be worn on the back as a backpack. It is so convenient that if it turns out that your baby does not intend to sit or sleep politely in the stroller at all, but prefers to swing on the swing or run ahead without restraint - you can detach the bag from the stroller and put it comfortably on the back and then rush off to look for a beaver in the park.

Besides, it has quite a lot of compartments and a zippered front pocket - every compartment and pocket is at a premium, because it's so you can pack your keys or phone separately and when your cell phone rings you don't have to fish for it among pacifiers and diapers.

The second option worth considering is a proposal from Skip Hop model Duo Signature. The bag is large, has lots of pockets on the outside and at the same time you can choose from many designs.

Second - cup holder

Ok, maybe there are more important items than a cup holder, but when walking, it's also worth thinking about yourself! If you're breastfeeding your baby, you're probably drinking hectoliters of fluids a day - why should you settle for drinking water from a bottle when you're out for a walk if you can make yourself a coffee in a thermal mug or order a smoothie along the way? And if you are not breastfeeding your baby, after all, you still need to drink! Besides, we know well that some days on maternity leave are saved by just such small pleasures - a warm coffee or a cocktail that someone else made :).

You can find cup holders from Stokke as well as Bugaboo, Cybex or Mamas&Papas. It is important that the handle fits your cart model, holds the dish stably and looks worthy ;).

Third - tableware for the child

If you have already started to expand your baby's diet and are planning a walk longer than an hour, it's a good idea to stock up on a water bottle and something for the toddler to chew on. When it comes to bidons, I remain a Skip Hop supporter - not just because of the colorful prints. These bidons do not leak, they are lightweight, not too wide and the child can hold them by himself and on top of that you can fully disassemble them and wash each part thoroughly.

To hide the munchies, another suggestion from Skip Hop - a non-sip cup - will be perfect. As the name implies, you can stuff the munchies to the brim into it, give it to your child and close your eyes - and still no munchies will land outside the box :).

Fourth - the book

If you are lucky and your baby falls asleep while you are walking, I recommend reading a book-but not about babies! :)

What are your walking must-haves?
