Cork responds to heat

Under the influence of water temperature, the cork changes its color. Visually informs parents of the need to respond and prevent overheating of the baby's body - especially sensitive in the early stages of life.

The principle also works the other way around. In a situation where the cork does not change its color, the water temperature is probably too low.

Keep in mind that the stopper technically cannot perform the function of a thermometer, so the parent should personally check the water temperature by hand to ensure that it is appropriate for the comfort and safety of the child.
