Evomove® joins the Stokke® family
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are pleased to announce - Stokke®, Norway's leading manufacturer of premium children's products, particularly known for its legendary Tripp Trapp® chair, announces the acquisition of the Danish company Evomove®, the company behind the distribution of the Nomi® chair. Both chairs by Peter Opsvik will now be available under a common branding.
Design elements remain the same, all elements between the chairs made for Evomove® are compatible with Stokke® Nomi® chairs.

Nomi chair is the result of decades of experience in designing ergonomic designs for everyday use. Peter Opsvik, the designer, a Norwegian industrial design engineer, became famous for the world's first modular-growing chair Stokke Tripp Trapp .
Not only does Nomi represent a completely different stylistic direction, thanks to which it is aimed at a different group of parents, but the specific form made it possible to adjust the elements tool-free to the needs of the growing child. The silhouette of the Nomi chair is based on a shaft made of beech wood veneered with oak or walnut wood, combined with the so-called Color Set, which is a set of elements including: the base of the shaft, footrest, seat and backrest - all in the color variant of your choice.
The central milling cutter in the shaft, acts as an axis along which the seat and footrest seating height is adjusted by means of clamping knobs, thus perfectly adapting to the body, maintaining maximum ergonomics and clearly perceptible sitting comfort. The lightweight design set on four wheels provides mobility and responds to the child's movements, completely eliminating the possibility of tipping over.
0-6 Months
An infant in the first six months of life requires special arrangements. During this period, the baby's only natural position is lying down until it attempts to sit up on its own (around 7 months of age). Nomi's design allows for a recliner arbor (sold separately) adapted to the needs of a toddler. You compose your own recliner according to your preference from two combined components: Nomi Baby Base (recliner shell) and Nomi Baby Matress (recliner mattress with cover and 5-point harness).
6-24 Months
After about 6 months of age, the toddler is ready for his first attempts at sitting up on his own. With help will come the so-called Nomi Mini, which is a safety bar (to be purchased separately) that will keep the child within the safe confines of the seat, preventing any possible sliding or jumping off. This is a period in the life of the child, in which at the same time an important role is played by learning to eat independently, so a useful accessory will be a tray (to be purchased separately), settling on the riser. The set can be supplemented with a seat cushion and a backrest, which will further increase the comfort of use - they can also be used in the further period when the child grows out of the stage of using the Nomi Mini headband.
2-6 years
The toddler grows up and everything slowly becomes simpler. After about 3 years, children are ready to sit in their chair independently without the help of accessories. The central cutter in the shaft, allows you to adjust the seating height of the seat and footrest with the help of clamping knobs, perfectly fitting the body at all stages of development - for many years to come.
6-11 years
At this age, children begin to use the Nomi chair in a broader context and for a longer amount of time than in earlier years. The chair no longer fulfills its role only during meals and table games, but is moving into a phase adapted to the student's life. Nomi will be perfect as an ergonomic desk chair, at which the young spine will require adequate support during long study and extra-curricular activities. Peter Opsvik has devoted his life to designing ergonomic chairs adapted to today's lifestyle, in which the amount of time spent sitting is unnaturally long and inexorably harmful to our bodies. The Nomi chair meets the designer's rigorous goals here.
Teenager - Adult
This is the stage when the Nomi chair reaches its final level of evolution. The previously needed footrest no longer serves its purpose, so it can easily be removed by unscrewing the knob that holds it to the arbor. A unique feature of the chairs Stokke Tripp Trapp and Nomi are their constructions, which gradually move from the world of a child, through the world of a teenager to an adult. The structure made of solid wood and the highest quality plastic guarantees the longevity, strength and stability of the furniture for many years to come.
