Lifestyle and modern standards require motoring families to ensure their children are as safe as possible when travelling. The vast majority of babies leave the hospital for their first journey home in a 0-13 kg car seat.

The Bugaboo® Donkey 5 Duo stroller, using a dedicated adapter (available separately - click here ), allows you to mount a 0-13 kg car seat on the stroller frame . The adapter is designed for all renowned car seats available on the market with a universal Maxi-Cosi type attachment (including Cybex, Avionaut, selected Britax Romer models).

In this system, the stroller allows you to transport an infant in a seat on adapters and a larger child (in a gondola or a pushchair seat) side by side at the same time

A slight age difference, but completely different needs. The Bugaboo® Donkey 5 Duo synchronizes with the needs of siblings year after year. Just like in Step 1, the stroller allows you to use the carrycot and the seat unit for the bigger child at the same time - side by side, at the same height, at the same distance from the parent.

The carrycot is designed for babies from birth to around 6 months of age. For physiological reasons, babies must rest in an almost perfectly flat position. The carrycot is used for regular, long walks and rest or even as a travel cot. In the Bugaboo Donkey 5, children are even closer to their parents, because the profiles of the stroller have been extended by an additional 3 cm. The carrycot is equipped with panoramic ventilation panels and a greatly extended hood that almost completely covers the baby and protects against strong winds - tested with a wind turbine at a speed of 50 km/h.

The stroller seat is used by the toddler from about 6 months of age (i.e. already sitting) until reaching about 22 kg of weight. Donkey 5 has a typical Bugaboo® ergonomic bucket seat that keeps the little ones in an upright position. Several degrees of seat inclination angle, up to a lying position. Standardly mounted both forward and rearward facing.

At this stage, everything slowly becomes easier. Over time, the baby grows up and the children use their stroller seats equally. The Duo stroller can be folded with two mounted stroller seats into a single-element, self-standing 'package'.
